The Calling
This painting was born from a previous one, a cloudscape I'd been inspired by when looking out of an airplane window. Being able to rise above the clouds and see them from above is a truly unique experience for me each time, despite travelling often.
Since moving to the countryside I have been able to witness the cycles of nature unfolding clearly before me. The birds in this painting are a reference to that concept, inspired by how they simply know when it's time to fly and where to go, depending on the season.
